There are a few moments in a person's life that are very special like weddings, proms, anniversaries, dinner dates, and so on. And it is important to look your very best in these special events. Nothing can make you feel more beautiful than looking at your old pictures and seeing how perfect you looked in those special moments in your life. It is not enough that you choose the right dress. It is equally important to choose the right hairstyle.
Choosing the right formal hairstyle can be a bit more difficult than choosing a regular haircut or hairstyle. This is because the event is more special and it only happens a few times, if not once, in a person's life. You should make sure that your hair looks perfect. Moreover, formal hairstyles are usually more elaborate and expensive. This is the reason why you should make sure that you choose the right one.
There are a few factors that you need to consider when choosing the right hairstyle. Here are some of these considerations.
* Outfit or Dress. Your hairstyle should complement or match your outfit. They should not compete for attention. For example, if you have a very elaborate wedding gown or prom dress, you should consider wearing simple hairstyles like updo hairstyles or sleek formal ponytails. Do not wear an elaborate hairstyle with an equally elaborate outfit or it will look too overwhelming. On the other hand, wearing a very simple hairstyle together with a very simple dress will make you look underdressed.
* Face Shape. Just like choosing a regular haircut or hairstyle, you should also consider your face shape when choosing, say, wedding hairstyles or prom hairstyles. If you have a rounded face, it would be better to have an elaborate updo with a lot of things going on at the top of your head, like curls, flowers, etc. This will make your face look longer. On the other hand, an oblong face shape should sport some bangs to make the face look shorter.
* Time. If you only have a few hours left before the event, an elaborate hairstyle might be impossible to do. Choose a simple but formal hairstyle that will complement your face and outfit. If you have all the time in the world, then you can choose any type of formal hairstyle that you want. That is why t is important to plan your hairstyle days before the actual event.
* Price. If you are going to a salon, be prepared to pay a more expensive price than if you are just going to have a normal haircut. This is because a formal hairstyle takes a longer time and is more difficult to fix. If you think you can fix your hair, by all means do it yourself to save money.

Hairstyle Ideas for Weddings

by Jerry Lasgow
There are endless possibilities and tons of versatile hairstyling options for weddings. Virtually, it is up to the bride to decide which style she feels more comfortable with; after all it is her day.
The most important thing a bride must do when choosing the form of her wedding hairdo is plan, plan, and plan. The sooner one starts to plan for you special day, the better off you can be in the long run. Early planning allows you to get the hair into the best condition possible and to have several hair trials with the hairdresser. Collect as many pictures of styles as one can from bridal magazines and bring these to the hairdresser and together you will decide which option would work most ideal for one. It is also a good idea when you decide on a hair piece, whether it be a veil comb, headband or tiara, to bring it to the hairdresser so she can get familiar with it and decide what forms might look best in it. If one decides that you want to do the hair yourself the day of the wedding, it might be a good idea to look into wearing a hairpiece to match the natural color of you hair.
Hairpieces are easy to work with and are designed to add volume and shape and look like one spent hours on the hair. Make sure you have an SOS kit available on the big day. Be sure to include in you kit curling irons, bobby pins, hairbrushes, picks, tail combs and most crucially lots of hairspray. Last of all, just be sure to plan ahead, relax, and enjoy the day.

Easy To Follow Step By Step Hairstyles
by John Socratous
Looking good and appropriate for any occasion is essential, and hair speaks volumes about how one can carry oneself. There are numerous salons and hair stylists bringing in new styles, and people who want to try new styles by themselves should try to find easy to follow, step by step hairstyles and try them out. Hair-dos for women and men are available on a handful of sites demonstrating methods to style your hair. Hair styling is not an easy job that can be mastered by anyone who takes it up, especially the ones who are not professionally trained. So it is very important to stick to the basics and follow the instructions closely.
It is highly important to follow the simple steps that make it easy to acquire a flattering hair style without going to the salon. Another factor of importance is in finding a dependable site that provides simple and adequate information on the same.
There is much hairstyling information on the net; it comes as information or as a software disc that demonstrates a step by step approach that results in good hairstyles. It also suggests appropriate hairstyles for different occasions, namely prom, wedding, party, fashion etc.
The step by step hairstyles come as an easy to follow approach with images and photographs that portrays each step and the final look after the styling. Some of the sites provide technical information on the styling and have photographs of models with the same styling as explained.
Any instruction on the sites would be broken down into steps, enabling the person to make use of it without much difficulty. For an example, a website would contain simple steps like below to tie a perfect pony.
* Separate the hair as two different layers, a thin layer and the remaining as a thicker one. * Apply band to the thicker layer of the hair, leaving the thin layer free below the thick layer of hair. * Using the thinner layer of the hair, wrap the band with the thin layer of free hair.
This is an example illustration of tying a pony, and some simple step by step hair styles like Romantic Chignon, long curls and Hippy Bunches also have similar illustrations.
Men can also find instruction on the Internet, and CDs too are available. These step by step hairstyles are brought to the people who are interested in learning easy styling methods of hairstyling at home. It also enables them in seeking suggestions on appropriate hair styles that fit the dress they wear and the face shape. It is worth spending a little time in acquiring these skills for a better look tomorrow.

Wedding Hair Styles Selections
by Stanley Hein
Weddings are always a extremely exciting and unique time in the life of a woman. There are so many decisions to generate and mostly becomes a production in itself. It is quite vital to be organized in the planning. One will enjoy doing what one has to do much more and must erase stress as one plans this very rare day.
One of the most hard things that you must have to do is know what one is going to do with the hair. To make this decision is to purchase your dress first. The neck line of the dress must have a lot to do with deciding what is best to with your hair. Once the dress is chosen you want to decide if you are going to wear a veil, or a hair ornament of some kind.
Most wedding designs chosen are trends that are up. Veils and ornaments are easy to work with these trends and they are not what one wears everyday making the style unique.
Selecting a hair stylist if you do not have a regular stylist will be done from asking previous bride who were happy with who did theirs. One must also call salons and ask if they have a stylist who is experienced in doing marriage style. It is best to meet the stylist prior to doing your hair the day of and if possible show the stylist your veil to examine how it attaches.
Good planning is the key to the perfect day.

The 10 Simple Steps To Amazing Wedding Hair (II)

by Sarah James
If the wedding is traditional in style and the dress mirrors this distinction, it would not be appropriate to have a whimsical messy bun as it would look out of place with the rest of the plans.
The same can be said if a bride has chosen a beach wedding with a low key dress, and then decides to ask the stylist to give her a tight updo that looks like it belongs in a ballroom far far away.
It's always worth spending a bit of money in advance so that you get a strong cut that compliments your features because it will mean that your hair will need far less styling when your big day finally arrives.
Saving money by not going this route will only end up sacrificing the ability to have the hair as perfect as it otherwise would have been.
Make sure you wear a button down shirt when getting the hair done before the big occasion. It is ironic that something so simple could make or break a smooth transition for flawless wedding hair, but it is one hundred percent accurate.
If the hair is ready to go and is exactly as it should be, pulling a shirt up and over the head can pull pins out, cause hair to frizz, and curls to loosen.
If a bride is going to remove her veil, tiara, or wedding jewelry after the ceremony, plan ahead of time to make adjustments to the style so that when the accessory is removed, the second half of the day and evening isn't spent with a lovely hairdo that becomes a disaster.
Last but not least, bring the veil, tiara, or hair jewelry to the hairdresser from the very beginning.
It is important that the hair and the things that will go in it are all at the same place at the same time in order ensure that the styles will be a strong mixture of the image that's desired.
Hair styles can change in an instant due to the invention of clip on extensions and the like, but if a bride wants to have truly unforgettable wedding hair, she will heed the advice of those that came before her, and use their knowledge to assure success.

The 10 Simple Steps To Amazing Wedding Hair (I)

by Sarah James
There isn't a female alive that hasn't had a bad hair day or worse a bad hair cut or style.
That's why, when the special day rolls around, it's extremely important to have all the wedding hair well set up and prepared months in advance to ensure that there aren't any last minute problems that could derail the entire celebration.
It's a good thing, then, that so many women have experienced such incredible joy and or sadness with regards to this topic that there is an overwhelming amount of firsthand accounts that offer very specific guidelines to keep a bride away from potential hair disasters.
The first thing to remember is to choose a hairstyle well in advance of picking the veil or headpiece.
That will keep a bride from having a style that looks fabulous without the added extras, and then not so good when the tiara is finally wrestled into place.
The accessories and the hair have to work together to form a cohesive look, and one absolutely will not work without the benefit of the other.
Next up you need to visit your selected stylist at least six months in advance of the wedding day.
The longer the bride and the stylist have to work together without the stress of the special day bearing down on them, the more likely they are to come up with a truly original style that the bride will love. This will be in part because there will be time to make mistakes, and recover from them.
Thirdly, make sure you pick out more than one look so that your stylist has plenty of opportunity to conjour up something spectacular. This also means that, if you find one of the styles doesn't actually suit your face, the stylist will have plenty of chance to make adjustments.
If the wedding ceremony, reception or part of it will be outdoors, be sure to reflect that inevitability and choose a style that will react accordingly without surprises.
Hair that will last hours on end may not react the same when the elements get involved and the last thing a new bride wants is for her hair to fall flat or be blown askew right in the middle of one of the most important days of her life.
Make certain to keep everything in sync when contemplating a particular look.

Choosing your Wedding Hair Style and not Overdoing It
by Cornelia O'Hara
Big things and small things when it comes to your wedding are both important. As you plan the whole event you also need to focus on the small details of preparing yourself. Of course when it comes to you, it is all about big things! Your dress, your bridal jewelry, your shoes are all key factor in making you the bride everyone will look at and admire, but with that you should not forget planning what hairstyle you intend to have for your big day.
Although when choosing the right style for yourself, this can be easy since nobody knows yourself better, but you. And only you can decide with a few help and advice from your hairstylist, about the style you want to do with your hair. Professional hairstylists can give you the help you will need especially if you have a lot of things on your mind. They can easily select on what will be the next step or decision when it comes to your hair. Will you be in need of a shorter hairstyle, have a particular hairdo with hair treatment, coloration, and even use hair extension? Professional hairstylists can help you with that.
You can also do your own research on what you want to do with your hair. Search the web or look at some bridal magazines for possible hairdos of your choice. It will still be your decision if you want to do your hair up, down, curled, or straight. Even if you do not have any idea on what you want to do with your hair, but if you plan early, months before the wedding, then you can easily find what you are looking for. You will still have plenty of time to experiment.
You can go for the casual romantic long hairstyles or modern short styles if you think that both match your style. You can also wear a hair extension if you have short hair, but you want a more fashionable long hair style. The most important factor to consider with how you style your hair is that you should be comfortable with your hair. Match it up with a great looking crystal jewelry earrings or a tin cup necklace to add to the beauty of your hair. A lot of that confidence will show on you, if you have great hair. So just find the style that is right and go for it.

Hairstyles - pay attention to style factors
by Louise Jones
Your hairdo will reflect who you are and what you think of yourselves. Therefore it is just one of the important things you should consider in building your image.
Making a decision to follow the same hairstyle that your favorite celebrity is wearing might be frustrating. Always remember that your hairstyle must suit your face and personality. So, before you take that drastic measure and cut your hair ten inches, change your hair color to sneaky salmon, or start to loc your hair think over it twice.
Hairstyle is based on several factors. A growing number of men and women both are concerned about how their total looks. They are concerned about every factor that rules their overall appearance and so they go to great lengths to get it to look a certain way. There are people simply do not other about these different and important factors while there are still others who actually have proper knowledge about the relation of the different hairstyles and their looks. So the key to getting a good hairstyle is to concentrate on all the factors that directly and indirectly govern your hairstyle.
The different factors are your sex, age, profession, climate of the place, occasion and your hair quality, length, texture and color. Hairstyle changes with your age. You cannot follow the same hairstyles of 20's in your 70's. There are different hairstyles for different age people. Next there are different hairstyles for men and women. There are also hairstyles that can be followed by both the sex. It depends on you what you follow. Your profession is also a very important factor when choosing your hairstyle. Surely enough, a funky hairstyle will not suit your "corporate" profession. Make yourself outstanding with your right choice of hairstyle. There are some styles that goes well with the certain climate while others do not. While many would think how a climate can affect a hairstyle- it is not something weird that I am writing here but it do happens. Let me explain it to you- your hair swells and expands when it is wet. It behaves in the same way in a humid climate too, where the air is full of moisture. Humidity makes hair fluffy and, if your hair is prone to curling, it will cause frizz. There are different hairstyles for different events. Hair do for wedding will obviously look out of place in an office party.
Lastly is your hair with which the style goes. For a particular hairstyle every point like quality, length, texture and color are considered to make it successful. If you are among those who give priority to hairstyling then it will be good for you to consult with a trained, professional stylist. There is a lot of difference between hair cutting and hair styling. You will come across a lot of people out there who cut hair and are very good at it, but not all of them can tell you the right style for your hair type and lifestyle.

Perfect Wedding Hairstyle Ideas and Tips
by Paul Jones
Your wedding is the most important day of your life and you want to look gorgeous! It is important to spend a few months looking through different hairstyle magazines and online to get as many different hairstyle ideas as you can. I have compiled a few great wedding hairstyle tips and ideas below to help you create the look of your dreams for your upcoming wedding day.
For those brides-to-be out there who have long, flowing hair, the hottest and most popular wedding hairstyle of 2008 is to simply have your hair down and curled slightly at the ends of your hair. This is a very elegant look that is sure to compliment any wedding dress and any face shape. If you are looking for a little something more, inserting small and matching flowers into your hair can create that little something extra to make your style unique.
Although up-dos were once the most popular and traditional way to wear your hair on your wedding day, today is much more natural. Another great look is to have your hair half up and collected at the back with a large flower. This keeps your hair out of your face, your veil in place and leaves the bottom of your hair long and flowing down the back of your beautiful gown.
For those of you with shorter hair length before your wedding there are many different options. There are several hairstyles that can be created by your hairstylist to make it look like you have a stunning up-do with short hair. Also, leaving your hair loose and perhaps wavy is a great look, depending on just how short your hair is.

Tips for bridal make-up
by Sukhpreet kaur
you have found the groom, decided your wedding dress, it's time for you to decide your wedding look . Make-up is an important aspect of your wedding look. Here are 10 tips that will help you look perfect on your matrimony day.
1. Beauty Regime to be followed before the big day For that perfect glow on the wedding day, you need to consider a few things a few weeks prior to the wedding day. About six weeks before the wedding, you should start a skin and nail care plan. Tell your beautician to give you regular facials and manicures.
Avoid going in sun about 3-4 weeks prior to the wedding. Sunburns and peeling skin shouldn't disrupt your wedding day.
2. Take care of your Body-Mind-Spirit Always remember the importance of Body-Mind-Spirit. What's going on inside you is as important as looking good. We all know that preparing for a wedding is very stressful and if you are not taking proper care of yourself by not sleeping enough or not eating properly, it will definitely reflect on your face! If you are feeling really stressed out before the wedding, consider having a relaxing massage once every week during the month of wedding and also a day before the wedding day. Also, burn some relaxing essential oils around the house to help calm your nerves.
3. Trial Organize a trial around 1-2 months before the wedding, once you have chosen your make-up artist.
Ask the make-up artist to show you a few pictures from magazines that will help you in deciding a look.
Tell her if you have any skin problems or allergies etc or if there are any particular ways you wear your make-up.
If you are wedding is during the day, it is ideal to organize the trial during the day as it will give you a better idea as to how the make-up will look
4. Have pictures your wedding dress and bridesmaid's dresses If you show the make-up artist pictures of your wedding dress and bridesmaids wedding dresses, it will give her / him the idea for designing the perfect look for you.
5. What look to go with The style that you plan to choose for your wedding make-up will ultimately depend on your personal preference, but there are some other factors that you should consider:
The time of the ceremony - A lot depends on the time of the wedding. Is it during day time or in the evening? A subtle, natural look is more suited to a day wedding and a more striking look is suited to an evening one.
Other aspect is the time of the year of the matrimonial. If you are having a Spring/Summer wedding, go for bright, pastel shades in your make-up. For a winter wedding, warm, deeper shades are preferable.
Your skin tones and hair colour -
If you are blond or have a fair skinned, cool tones of grey, blue, soft pink and lilac are ideal for you.
If you are a brunette or olive skinned, warm neutral tones of brown, taupe, burgundy & red will suit you more.
6. Your Face Foundations with yellow undertones work perfectly with flash photography.
Avoid using shimmer highlighters as this look will not look well in photos and give a reflective shine.
Ask your make-up artist to use a bronzing powder, it will warm your skin tone and wll give your face a natural glow.
7. Your Eyes The make-up around your eye-area should be soft and natural with no heavy, dark lines. Use a brow pencil which is a little darker than your hair colour and keep away from heavy, dark shadows.
8. Your Lips Use a lip-liner which is of the same colour as your lipstick and do not use a noticeable or dark lip line, it looks tacky. If you define one area in your make-up, it will look more pleasing. If you want dark and defined eyes, go for a lighter lip shade and if you want bright lips, go for natural, light eyes.
9. Timing Don't forget to ask your make-up artist to arrive a little before time and so that there is enough time to get the job done. As the last thing you want on your wedding day is rush.
10. Last moment touch-ups Remember to ask your mum or one of your friends / sisters to carry a powder compact, tissues and lipstick for touch-ups during the occasion.
Just remember these tips and you will look the most beautiful bride on your wedding day.

Beautiful wavy wedding hairstyles

Long, flowing waves make this style, see photo left, ideal for a romantic wedding. Match it with any type of wedding dress for a stunning look.
Texturising layers were added into the very ends of her hair for extra body and movement and lots of body was added through the top section as well as the ends to give Janelle as much movement as she wants. This is a great hairstyle for those with finer hair as it will create more thickness throughout. A look such as this will require regular trims to keep the shape.
How to Style:Apply mousse to damp hair then blow-dry using a medium vent brush, turning your hair under as you go along. Smooth shine the top layers and then lacquer lightly for hold.

Elegant Wedding Hairstyles

The first step to discovering your perfect wedding day hair is to look through wedding and hairstyle magazines. This will give you an idea of what you like and what you don't like, which you can take to your stylist when you go for your trial. You will want to consider the style and formality of your gown when deciding on how to wear your hair. Look for styles that are consistent with the look of your gown.
Also consider the neckline and sleeves of your dress when deciding on a hairstyle. If your gown has a detailed neckline or back, you do not want your hair to cover it. Similarly, if you are wearing a strapless dress and want to show off neck and chest, an up-do is the way to go. Long, flowing curls look great with scoop or v-neck dresses that have any sleeve length. You just want to keep in mind that your hair is meant to complement your dress and not cover elements that make it unique.
Just like with your makeup, you will want to have at least one hair trial before your wedding day whether you are going to a stylist or doing it yourself. Testing out your hairstyle before the big day will help ensure you get the look you want. Your stylist will be able to tell you what types of styles will work best on your hair, considering both the length and texture of your hair, and the shape of your face. You will also want to take your headpiece and veil with you so your stylist can work these accessories into the overall look of your hair. If you plan on removing either of these items after the ceremony, you will want to let your stylist know so she can show you how to remove them without messing up your style.
When you go for your trial, discuss with your stylist what looks will work best not only for your hair length and texture, but also for the environment of your wedding. Weather elements, such as humidity, rain, and wind will all affect the way your hair will look on your wedding day. Even if your ceremony and reception are both indoors, you will most likely have to step foot outside at one point, so you will want to make sure your hair will stay perfect all day long.
Once you have decided upon a style, you need to think about how to prepare your hair to look its best on the big day. You should get a trim a couple of weeks before your wedding to get rid of any split ends. If you color or perm your hair, you will want to do this well enough in advance that your hair has time to relax and look natural after the treatment. Also, make sure you know how your stylist wants your hair when you go to have it done on the big day. Often, hair is easier to manage if it has not been washed that day, so find out if there are any special instructions that you need to follow.

How to choose the wedding hairstyles?

How to choose the wedding hairstyles?
Don’t lose your personal identity when selecting the wedding hairstyle. Most of the women simply choose the updo hairstyle. Don’t simply decide on everything. Make sure that which wedding hairstyle is perfectly suitable for you.
Think on what you like best: flowing or big, up or down, dark or light. Consider the wedding hairstyles in which you feel more comfortable. Take advice from specialist regarding what type of wedding hairstyles best suits you and your personality.
One more factor while considering wedding hairstyles is your hair type, your wedding dress, the type of wedding veil you are going to wear, your jewelry and how your better half will be wearing their hair.
If your gown has very low cut neckline with exposed shoulders and chest bared, then you can choose long hairstyles and flowing curvy wedding hairstyles.
If your gown has high neck then you can opt for updo wedding hairstyles. These are perfectly suitable for everyone with high neck dresses.
If you want a more glamorous hairstyle, then put on your hair in a topknot. This can be a wonderful choice. Actually this wedding hair style frames your features and will definitely draw attention to the facial appearances such as your lips or eyes.
